Alma

Alma conjecture

The Alma is a large, bipedal, humanoid creature that sightings say is very human like, but covered in hair from head to toe. This cryptid creature is thought to live in the the mountains of central Asia and southern Mongolia. Unlike Bigfoot, the Alma is said to be very human like but with some distortions in its features. Alma literally means “wild man” in Mongolian.

There have been sightings of the creature as recent as 1992 in Mongolia. In 1972 a Russian Doctor came across a family of Almas. In 1985, Maya Bykova claimed to have witnessed one of these creatures as well.

Cryptozoologists have a theory that the Alma could actually be a remnant human species of Neanderthal, although to this date no conclusive evidence has been acquired.
